Buttock Reshaping.

Buttock reshaping encompasses several surgical procedures aimed at reshaping the buttocks:

In case of skin laxity: buttock lift.
In case of shape defect: buttock implants (buttock prostheses), and/or filling by fat injection (lipofilling), or by hyaluronic acid.

A butt lift allows for the removal of excess skin. Depending on the situation, two techniques are available:
The lower buttock lift: this is indicated when folds and bulges occur in the lower buttocks and upper thigh.

The upper buttock lift: this procedure corrects overall sagging of the buttocks, particularly after weight loss. When combined with an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), it is called a "body lift."

Volume augmentation: Augmentation can be achieved by injecting the patient's own fat (lipofilling), using buttock implants, or, more rarely, by injecting hyaluronic acid.

Lipofilling is possible provided there is sufficient fat to harvest.

Buttock implants (buttock prostheses): these are comparable in every way to breast implants, although they have a different shape and resistance. Insertion is performed through a bilateral incision, either vertical or oblique (approximately 5 to 6 cm), in the upper part of the intergluteal cleft.
