In the field of male intimate surgery, two procedures are possible:
Penis lengthening: This procedure increases the size of the penis; it is called penoplasty.
Penis enlargement or widening increases the diameter of the penis.
The goal of this procedure is to improve the patient's well-being and self-confidence by enhancing the quality of their sexual relations.
The average penis size is considered to be around 15 cm when erect.
Penile Enlargement:
The procedure is performed either by lipostructure by injecting fat (via the harvesting of fatty tissue if there is sufficient fat in the patient), or by aesthetic filler, in the absence of sufficient fat in the patient.
Penile enlargement surgery can be performed repeatedly.
In contrast, the results of hyaluronic acid injections into the penis are almost immediate, but they are naturally absorbed within 6 to 12 months. Injections will need to be repeated to maintain the initial results. The major advantage of this technique is that the final appearance is perfectly natural, both when flaccid and erect. This allows for quick acceptance of the penis's new appearance.
It allows the diameter of the male sex organ to increase by 2 to 3 cm, both at rest and when erect.
Penile lengthening surgery can only be performed once due to the technique: There is a suspensory ligament of the penis that retracts it against the pubic bone. This ligament is accessed through a 4 cm high skin incision located on the pubic bone at the base of the penis. The ligament is then weakened or even severed, which frees the penis from the pubic bone and produces an initial lengthening effect.
This microsurgical procedure increases the length of the penis at rest, but has little effect on lengthening during erection. It is most often performed in conjunction with penile enlargement or phalloplasty.
Penile enlargement and lengthening procedures are performed under local anesthesia by a cosmetic surgeon.
Work can be resumed the following day. Post-operative discomfort is not significant for the first few weeks.
Sexual intercourse becomes possible from the 3rd week onwards; morning erections are physiological and have no impact on the outcome
