Profiloplasty represents a new way of approaching the rejuvenation and attractiveness of a face through the study and morphological management of a patient's profile.
Our gaze doesn't initially focus on wrinkles or lines formed by our skin (mostly visible from the front), but rather on the overall lines and contours of our face to perceive our identity and convey an impression of youth or beauty.
For example, a nose can be perceived as too prominent due to a receding chin, a deep forehead, flat cheekbones, or a combination of these factors.
After analyzing a profile, the indication for profiloplasty is to erase the "lines that make us look older" and replace them with new, more attractive and youthful lines and contours.
Profiloplasty involves studying the harmony between the three sections of the face and understanding that the nose is perceived in terms of its size and length in relation to the surrounding features (primarily the forehead, cheeks, and chin).
After a clinical examination, Dr. Pulcini will balance your profile by addressing several areas: a more prominent forehead, increased chin and lip volume, cheek projection, and modification of the lower third of your face, which may be too short. The goal is to achieve a nose that is much more harmonious with the rest of your face and, by extension, an overall balance in your profile, all without surgery.
Dr. Pulcini meticulously selects products based on their specific properties and density to modify your lines and contours.
The injections are not painful.
The results are immediate, natural, and stable. They are optimal after one week and can last between 2 and 5 years depending on the area injected (temples). This is because the hyaluronic acid used for this type of treatment is much denser and more concentrated than that injected to fill a wrinkle or hollow.
The effects are even more visible and long-lasting when the injection is deep, in an area with little or no movement, and without fat or connective tissue. Conversely, lip injections may not last as long, depending on the patient.
A minor touch-up (overcorrection or undercorrection) may be offered after your follow-up appointment to adjust the result and ensure your complete satisfaction.
Although quite rare, some bruising or slight swelling may occur in the days following the procedure. A moderate and temporary decrease in sensitivity in the treated areas may occur within hours of the procedure and last for the first few days. The lips may swell slightly for 2 or 3 days.
Medical profiloplasty leaves absolutely no marks or scars.
