LED Light Therapy

LED therapy: the regenerating light! Rejuvenate your skin with photobiomodulation, a gentle, non-aggressive rejuvenation method. Photobiomodulation is very close to photosynthesis. Discovered by NASA—during a space flight, an astronaut treated a wounded hand by placing it under a red light source—approved by the very rigorous FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and validated by multiple scientific studies. LED therapy (Light Emitting Diode) or photobiomodulation is a non-invasive, safe and effective skin rejuvenation technique, suitable for both the face and the entire body.

How does this type of light therapy work?

The LEDs emit a “cool” light (compared with lasers, which are accompanied by heat) whose color—red, orange, blue or yellow—has very specific properties.

A treatment for every color!

The vibrational properties of light waves will penetrate deep into the skin, into the cells, to stimulate them and restore the functioning and energy of a young cell.

This stimulation, in concrete terms, triggers physical and chemical changes in cells.

Red light, the most used in aesthetic medicine and anti-ageing, penetrates directly into the deep dermis and stimulates, in a non-invasive and painless way, ATP, the molecule that provides energy for all cellular processes.

This is followed by a real cascade of benefits:
acceleration of the speed of tissue reproduction,
optimal functioning of fibroblasts, the dermal cells responsible for producing elastin and collagen fibers,
skin healing, toxin drainage, improved blood circulation.

LED technology is a versatile platform with 4 wavelengths (blue, red, yellow, infra-red) that makes it possible to treat a wide range of indications: combined treatments in aesthetic medicine, post-operative and repair care (after a peel) and dermatological treatments to treat, for example, acne.

Did you know? When combined with a Peel, LED optimizes the results!

Indeed, it is a very effective complement to anti-ageing treatments, such as peeling, but also after an injection session of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin (Botox).

LEDs provide simultaneous anti-ageing action, thanks to photobiomodulation, which will stimulate neocollagenesis and cellular renewal.

LEDs can also reduce social downtime after treatment.
They provide a soothing and healing effect and help reduce inflammatory aftermath.

Indications for LED therapy:

Light therapy is an alternative for treating, without needles and without a scalpel, a wide range of issues such as: sagging skin, wrinkles & fine lines redness & post-treatment reactions (injections, peels…) hair loss, alopecia acne scars and burns recent stretch marks

More specifically:

Combined anti-ageing and post-treatment.
Instant glow-up and rapid reduction of under-eye bags, due to the “booster” effect of LEDs on micro-circulation and lymphatic drainage.

The skin is visibly fresher and clearer.
You will notice a progressive softening of wrinkles, better skin elasticity, increased tissue density and a better-defined facial contour.

Combined with biostimulating mesotherapy, MésoLED treatment helps effectively fight the first signs of ageing!

LED optimizes the results!

Scalp – Alopecia. Hair loss is gradually stopped and regrowth is stimulated. LED sessions carried out during the month following a hair transplant lead to faster regrowth of the grafts. In combination with hair mesotherapy, the LED lamp allows effective treatment of diffuse alopecia in both men and women. The action of yellow and red light at the end of treatment will stimulate cellular renewal. The Médisol LED treatment allows, in just a few sessions, to considerably slow hair loss, notice an increase in hair density and regrowth. Acne. Blue LEDs act on the proteins of the bacteria responsible for acne (porphyrins) and destroy them. Red LEDs, on the other hand, penetrate deep to reach the sebaceous glands for an anti-inflammatory action. Scars and marks related to acne are also reduced. But that’s not all: today we know that LED treatment also detoxifies the body and boosts immunity. How does an LED session work? Comfortably lying down, panels equipped with diodes are precisely positioned a few centimeters away from the areas to be treated. The light, emitted for fifteen to thirty minutes, provides absolute relaxation: don’t be surprised if you doze off! A relaxing effect caused by the positive action of LEDs on serotonin secretion, more commonly called “the pleasure hormone”. The advantages of LED therapy: no risk of burns or pigment rebound. no side effects suitable for all skin types no social downtime an effective, gentle and “natural” rejuvenation technique. without risk (they are not UV!) How often should LED sessions be done? For your light therapy, the protocol varies according to needs and indications. Indeed, LED therapy sessions may be more or less frequent depending on the importance of the problem and the condition of the skin. When used alone, the recommended sessions are generally one to two sessions per week for two months. Then we recommend a maintenance phase with one session per month. In all cases, a personalized protocol is established with your doctor in advance and may therefore vary from patient to patient.
