LED Light Therapy

LED therapy, regenerating light! Regenerate your skin with photobiomodulation, a gentle, non-aggressive rejuvenation method. Photobiomodulation is very close to photosynthesis. Discovered by NASA—during a space flight, an astronaut had treated his injured hand by placing it under a red light source—approved by the highly rigorous FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and validated by multiple scientific studies. LED therapy (Light Emitting Diode) or photobiomodulation is a non-aggressive, safe and effective skin rejuvenation technique, suitable for both the face and the entire body.

How does this type of light therapy work?

LEDs emit a “cool” light (compared to that of lasers, which comes with heat), whose color—red, orange, blue, or yellow—has very specific properties.

A treatment for every color!

The vibrational properties of light waves will penetrate deep into the skin, into the cells, to stimulate them and restore the functioning and energy of a young cell.

This stimulation, concretely, leads to physical and chemical changes in the cells.

Red light, the most used in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine, penetrates directly into the deep dermis and stimulates, in a non-invasive and painless way, ATP—the molecule that provides energy for all cellular processes.

This is followed by a veritable cascade of benefits:
increased tissue reproduction speed,
optimal functioning of fibroblasts—these dermal cells responsible for producing elastin and collagen fibers,
skin healing, toxin drainage, improved blood circulation.

LED technology is a versatile platform with 4 wavelengths (blue, red, yellow, infrared) that makes it possible to treat a wide range of indications: combination treatments in aesthetic medicine, post-operative and repair care (after a peel), and dermatological care—for example to treat acne.

Did you know? When combined with a Peel, LED helps optimize the results!

Indeed, it is a very effective complement to anti-aging treatments, such as chemical peels, but also after an injection session of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin (Botox).

LEDs enable a simultaneous anti-aging effect, thanks to photobiomodulation, which will stimulate neocollagenesis and cell renewal.

LEDs also help reduce social downtime after treatment.
They provide a soothing and healing effect and help reduce inflammatory after-effects.

LED treatment indications:

Light therapy is an alternative for treating, without needles and without surgery, a wide range of issues such as: skin laxity, wrinkles & fine lines redness & post-treatment reactions (injections, peels…) hair loss, alopecia acne scars and burns recent stretch marks

More precisely:

Combined anti-age treatment and post-treatments.
Instant radiance boost and rapid reduction of under-eye puffiness, thanks to the “booster” effect of LEDs on microcirculation and lymphatic drainage.

The skin visibly looks fresher and clearer.
We observe a gradual reduction in wrinkles, improved skin elasticity, tissue re-densification, and a better-defined facial oval.

Combined with biostimulating mesotherapy, the MésoLED treatment effectively helps fight the first signs of aging!

LED optimizes the result!

Scalp – Alopecia. Hair loss is gradually stopped and regrowth is stimulated. LED sessions performed during the month following a hair transplant lead to faster regrowth of the grafts. In combination with hair mesotherapy, the LED lamp makes it possible to effectively treat diffuse alopecia in both men and women. The action at the end of the treatment using yellow and red light will stimulate cellular renewal. The Médisol LED treatment, in just a few sessions, helps significantly slow hair loss, and observe an increase in hair density and regrowth. Acne. Blue LEDs act on the proteins of the bacteria responsible for acne (porphyrins) and destroy them. Red LEDs, for their part, penetrate deep down to reach the sebaceous glands for an anti-inflammatory effect. Scars and marks related to acne are also reduced. But that’s not all: today we know that LED treatment also detoxifies the body and boosts immunity. How does an LED session work? Lying comfortably, the panel units fitted with diodes are positioned precisely a few centimeters from the areas to be treated. The light, emitted for fifteen to thirty minutes, provides absolute relaxation: don’t be surprised if you doze off! A relaxing effect due to the positive action of LEDs on the secretion of serotonin, more commonly known as the “pleasure hormone.” The benefits of LED therapy: no risk of burns or pigment rebound. no side effects suitable for all skin types no social downtime effective rejuvenation technique—gentle and “natural” no risk (they are not UVs!) How often should LED sessions be done? For your light therapy, the protocol varies according to your needs and the indications. Indeed, LED therapy sessions may be more frequent depending on the severity of the issue and the condition of the skin. When used alone, the recommended sessions are generally one to two sessions per week for two months. After that, we recommend a maintenance phase with one session per month. In all cases, a personalized protocol is set up with your doctor in advance and may therefore vary from one patient to another.
