The Dermapen is a micro-needling technique developed in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. It is effective at delaying skin aging and visibly improving the quality of the skin.    

Minimally invasive, this treatment consists of administering injections into the subcutaneous layer using micro-needles, in order to stimulate collagen and elastin production.    

This procedure is particularly indicated to correct the wrinkled appearance of the skin, a dull complexion, enlarged pores, acne scars, and also stretch marks.

In practice, Dermapen is based on the principle of micropuncture. This technique consists of making micro-injections into the subcutaneous layer using an electric pen equipped with different micro-needles.    

Dermapen is equipped with a sterile single-use head containing 12 to 36 micro-needles. Depending on the selected head model and the desired depth of action (from 0.25 to 3 mm), the treatment will be painless or slightly uncomfortable, and in this case, the application of an anesthetizing cream is possible.

The injections performed will help stimulate fibroblast cells, responsible for producing collagen and elastin fibers—the two proteins that give the skin firmness, elasticity, and suppleness. The benefits of Dermapen sessions can be felt quickly.

Newly forming wrinkles are softened; the face appears visibly younger. In the months following the session, the skin’s structure continues to improve. It is also effective to use microneedling for acne, to erase scars. Dermapen is also indicated in the treatment of stretch marks.
