Breast surgery

BREAST AUGMENTATION

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed and most reliable procedures in plastic surgery. It is performed under general anesthesia.

During your first consultation, Dr. Pulcini will ask you about your medical and surgical history and your motivations. He will carry out an analysis of your body shape: silhouette, bust, and size, which will enable him to define your care plan.

Breast augmentation is performed by placing breast implants.

BREAST IMPLANTS
Breast implants modify the size, shape, and contour of the breast to restore its roundness and achieve results that look very natural.

They allow you to:• Increase the volume of a bust considered too small by the patient• Lift the breast in cases of ptosis (looseness resulting from weight loss or pregnancy)•

Correct an asymmetry• Correct breast hypotrophy (insufficient development of the breast gland).
There are different shapes of breast implants (round or anatomical) and different projections that determine the level of breast prominence.

Before the procedure

It is necessary to schedule 2 consultations in order to determine your care plan. Smoking cessation should be planned 1 month before the procedure to avoid postoperative complications. Mammography, ultrasound, and MRI are carried out as part of a precise radiological workup.

BREAST REDUCTION

BREAST AUGMENTATION

Whether it’s functional or aesthetic, breast reduction can be the solution for coming to terms with your body. Breast reduction surgery is indicated when breasts are overly large and sagging (hypertrophy), causing discomfort, back pain, or aesthetic issues that distort your silhouette.

If more than 300 g are removed from each breast, it may involve plastic surgery covered by health insurance.
During your first consultation, Dr. Pulcini will ask about your medical and surgical history as well as your motivations. She will analyze your body shape: silhouette, bust, contour, waist, and cup size, enabling her to create a well-balanced care plan for your silhouette and your health.

Breast reduction allows a patient’s breasts to be lifted while reducing volume, for a natural-looking result.

Who is breast reduction for?

Breast reduction surgery can be performed at any age. For young girls, the surgeon will wait until the patient is around 17 or 18 years old, when breast development is complete. It is also recommended to wait 12 months after the end of the last pregnancy before undergoing the procedure. Conversely, there is no age limit for surgery if the patient has no contraindications.

Before the procedure

You need to schedule 2 consultations with the plastic surgeon to determine your plan.0 Quitting smoking should be planned 1 month before the procedure.0 A mammogram, as well as a glandular ultrasound, will be carried out as part of a precise radiological assessment prescribed by the plastic surgeon.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. 0 The scars are either in a “marine anchor” shape or an inverted T: a horizontal scar in the inframammary fold, one around the areola, and a vertical scar between the inframammary fold and the areola.
